Victory for woman fighting for equal rights for cats in Jersey

After a six-year campaign, a woman fighting for increased protection for cats has successfully got the new law passed in Jersey.

The petition ‘Equal Rights 4 Cats’, was set up in 2015 by Sandra Jasmins after her cat was tragically hit outside her home, leaving the animal with horrific trauma to her head.

Widnes dance teacher inspired to help after her dad died from a brain tumour

A DANCE teacher in Widnes is marking Brain Tumour Awareness Month by taking part in ‘Wear a Hat Day’, after losing her dad to the disease last year.
